IT IS NOT EASY

It is not easy

After the Career talk of Kayfactor Leadership and Career Academy- KLCA. Some set of students came to me and requested I talk to them. I said, "to become great, it is not easy". To become those people you see in T.V requires commitment and Hard work.


I borrowed Denzel Washington lines in "its not easy" and I said, "if it were easy, there would not be Funke Akindele, if it were easy, there would not be Aliko Dangote, If it were easy, there would not be Vincent Adeoba, if it were easy there would not be Adepeju Jaiyeoba, if it were easy, there would not be Barrack Obama, if it were easy, there would not be Nelson Mandela, if it were easy there would not be you. I mean you".

Do you know the hardship your mother went through to birth you to life? Do you know how much she labored? It was not easy for her, so make your life count. Let that hardship she went through worth it. Be what you want to become. Become great and I bet, there is no one who can stop you. Pursue your dreams and fulfill your mission on earth. You are the only one who can stop you. I ended with this note, "every Idea comes with a dream, a vision, mission and passion to see it to the end. ~Kayode Alabi

REPORTS: Over 500 High School Students Were Reached in 3 Fridays

Reports on the 3 Fridays Career Symposia and Mentorship Program!  Many young people in the African Community find it difficult to discover purpose and forge trajectory for their lives. This geared us towards helping young people to have a goal in mind.  Through one on one coaching, group mentoring and general sessions over 500 high school students were reached.  We cut across all classes from J.S.S 1 - S.S.S 3.  No of students; JSS 1 and 2 = 162 Age range: 8- 16 years JSS 3 and SSS 1= 203 Age Range: 12- 17 years  SSS 2 and SSS 3= 137 Age Range: 13 - 19 years. Whoa! It's a year already. This time last year we were pregnant with this dream. The dream to ensure that Secondary School Students live up to their potential. The dream to ensure that they can connect what they do in the classroom with the practical world. The dream to ensure that students develop life skills that enable them integrate into the labor market. The dream to provide positive role models and mentors to students. And create students who are character conscious and can replicate democracy. The dream to promote a peaceful society and create young and ethical leaders. The dream to break the poverty cycle and ensure that students in underserved communities are exposed to skills that enable them to compete with their peers. The dream to inspire them to dream.
