Career Changing 301- Changing Your Career




We wrap up the first half of the cohort with Career Changing 301.

 The course focuses on how young people can make changes in their career.

 It explains why we have to change friends and seek new network for fresh ideas and opportunities.

 It explains why career must be self chosen and asking oneself some critical questions in changing a career. You don't change the Job, you find a new mission.
Upcoming is our leadership class, which is the second phase of the training.

REPORTS: Over 500 High School Students Were Reached in 3 Fridays

Reports on the 3 Fridays Career Symposia and Mentorship Program!  Many young people in the African Community find it difficult to discover purpose and forge trajectory for their lives. This geared us towards helping young people to have a goal in mind.  Through one on one coaching, group mentoring and general sessions over 500 high school students were reached.  We cut across all classes from J.S.S 1 - S.S.S 3.  No of students; JSS 1 and 2 = 162 Age range: 8- 16 years JSS 3 and SSS 1= 203 Age Range: 12- 17 years  SSS 2 and SSS 3= 137 Age Range: 13 - 19 years. Mentorship Program for Secondary Students in Ajegunle, Popular Slum in Lagos

Partnership and collaboration is key to ensuring sustainable development and to scale. Today, we took another step towards ensuring that young people in underserved communities have access to mentorship and counselling. Tripple-B  Leadership Academy (TBLA) in collaboration with Kayfactor Leadership and Career Academy organized a mentorship program for Ajeromi Secondary School Students, Ajegunle. We had a General Session, where our facilitators talked about Personal leadership which includes developing a vision and finding out your uniqueness in today's world. One major point the facilitator made was you have two things that everybody has "Time and Talent and you are the one to decide how you want to use it." Producing Citizens Capable of Replicating Democracy through Career and Leadership Education

Career education has the potential to enhance the roles and life chances of students and to improve educational outcomes for students in general, and particularly for those at risk of dropping out.  At KLCA, one of our objectives is to reduce the rate of drop out in schools by helping students have a goal in mind.  We help them discover their interests, aptitude and disposition.  We help students to become engaged and productive citizens capable of replicating democracy.  #KLCA #CareerEducation
